View the ticket shop
This module is an addition to the shop module. Clients can set up ticketing in their shop to sell tickets to events directly on the site with the event listing. With this module installed, editors can add ticketing to relevant event listing. Users, who visit the event page, can buy tickets directly on the page. Users click to reserve a ticket then can choose to buy the ticket directly. They can pay directly on the site using their credit card or they can request an invoice and transfer the payment electronically.
Use Case
Daria, a curator organizing a meeting
Daria is a 36 year old curator and event organizer. She works with an cultural institution that showcases work in new media and politics. Each year they host a forum to gather journalists, political scientists and more recently bloggers and developers.
Her organization has a community site to stay in touch with their members and share information about local events. The next meeting is in six months and she is starting to work on the promotional material. She logs onto the site and adds the new event to the site. After adding the text and pertinent details, Daria creates a ticket for the event. She specifies the price and adds a discount code for use by her invited guests. She links the ticket to the event and saves her work.
Now, when she goes back to the event page, she sees the reserve button.
Julia, a freelance designer, would like to attend this event
Julia sees the listing on the calendar and clicks through to the event page. She clicks the reserve button and is prompted to login. She decides to buy her ticket now. She is given the option to pay by credit card or through an electronic payment. She doesn't have a Dutch credit card, so she requests an invoice. She receives it immediately in her personal email inbox. When she opens the email she sees the invoice already includes the address information she uses on the site. She logs into her bank account and sends the money to the account specified on the invoice.
