Adding an organisation

Show people where you work

By adding an organisation to the website, other users can become familiar with your organisation or the projects you are involved in.

  • First check to find out if a page about your organisation already exists. You can search by specifically selecting 'organisation' under the search field. If you find your organisation, you can add yourself as an employee by clicking on 'Works for'. You need to be logged into the site to be able to do this.
  • If you haven't found your organisation, go to 'Edit this page' on your profile page and click '+ organisation'. Now you can create an organisation yourself. Then click on 'Save this page'. You can add information on the organisation page (see below).
  • Another way to create an organisation is to go to 'New contribution' at the top of the page. Click on '+ organisation'. You have now arrived at the page of your new organisation. You are automatically added as a a person that works for it.
  • Start by entering a title and click on 'Create'. Work your way though the page step-by-step. You can add a subtitle by entering a few basic words or motto. In the introduction, you can give a brief description of the organisation.
  • In the 'organisation profile' part (sometimes called 'page body') you can write about the organisation in greater detail: is it an institution or company, how was it founded, who else works there, what are they working on, what are the objectives, plans for the future, etc.
  • Fill in the contact information of your organisation. You can also indicate here if you want this information to be visible for everyone.
  • Click 'Save this page' to save your organisation.
