Symposium/Conference. Every workshop opens with a day with lectures and presentations. The workshops' subject will be introduced and marked out. Relevant perspectives on old and new media are presented next to performances of interesting applications.
up
Study sessions. The symposium is followed by three study sessions. During three Thursday evenings aspects of the theme are discussed and studied in more detail. Speakers will give a short lecture on their study cases. The participants of the workshop prepare themselves with a reader.

Experiments. The final part consists of a three day session in which the participants experiment and try to find answers to the research questions through establishing small projects (think of a game, a site, a lecture, hypertext etc.). At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants present their results to each other and the invited guests.
